MIMICO, ON — The Peewee Mountaineers were stripped of their 2015 ‘A’ Championship by the Ontario Lacrosse Association’s anti-doping tribunal on Friday morning for the use, possession and trafficking of several performance enhancing drugs.

The shocking allegations were revealed during an undercover probe, and Mimico may not be the only team involved.

“I’m as shocked as everyone at todays news,” Coach Daniel Fleming said in an interview. “I want to make one thing abundantly clear: I would NEVER knowingly allow 12 year olds to take performance enhancing drugs to gain a competitive advantage in any way.”

Mimico Lacrosse expressed “surprise” that the 2015 Peewee Mountaineers failed a drug test following Final Six.

In a statement, the club acknowledged the drug test was failed and said the team was “ready” to face any consequences for their actions.

Colleen Grimes, Vice President, Rep said she was “saddened and surprised” by the news.

The news has already sent shock waves through the Mimico Lacrosse community.
